Vibration Troubleshooting
Check these settings first
Even on a supported iPhone, system settings can prevent BuruVibe from vibrating.
- Turn on Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Vibration.
- Select Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Haptics → Always Play.
- Return to BuruVibe and try again.
Turning off Vibration under Accessibility disables all iPhone vibration alerts, including emergency alerts such as earthquake and tsunami alerts.
Supported devices
Supported iPhones
- iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, and later models
- iPhone SE (2nd generation or later)
Devices without phone vibration support
- iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and earlier models
- iPhone SE (1st generation)
- All iPads
- All iPod touch models
Unsupported devices cannot produce vibration even if BuruVibe can be installed.
Game controllers
Controllers whose vibration features are exposed to apps by iOS can be used as BuruVibe’s vibration output. The Xbox Wireless Controller has been tested. Other models generally work if shown as Connected, but not every model is guaranteed. Controller compatibility and setup.
If your controller doesn’t vibrate
- Keep BuruVibe open on screen.
- Check that the controller is shown as Connected under Vibration output.
- Check which output is selected on the main screen.
- Reconnect in iPhone Bluetooth settings.
- Update iOS and the controller’s firmware.
If Bluetooth shows a connection but BuruVibe shows Vibration unavailable, iOS is not exposing app-accessible vibration for that controller.
If vibration feels weak
- Hold your iPhone rather than placing it on a table.
- Try removing a thick case.
- Try a different vibration pattern.
If vibration stops when you leave the App
Background and Lock Screen vibration have different requirements from regular vibration:
- iOS 17 or later is required.
- BuruVibe Premium and the in-app background playback setting are required.
- iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X support regular vibration, but cannot run iOS 17 and therefore cannot use background vibration.
Still having trouble?
- Fully close BuruVibe, then reopen it.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Check whether normal iPhone call and notification vibration works.
- Contact us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and BuruVibe version. If using a controller, include its product name, model number, and the connection status shown in the App.
