Game Controller Setup
Compatible controllers
You can generally connect and use a Bluetooth controller that supports Apple’s app-accessible vibration features.
If you are choosing a controller, the Xbox Wireless Controller is one option tested with BuruVibe. Vibration playback and strength adjustment have been checked on physical hardware (EP2-29931).
Other models have not been individually tested. Bluetooth connectivity alone is not enough: the controller must support vibration from apps.
Connect your controller
- Put the controller in pairing mode and connect it under Settings → Bluetooth on your iPhone.
- Open Vibration output in BuruVibe and select the controller shown as Connected.
- Choose a pattern on the main screen and adjust the strength.
Vibration stops if the controller disconnects. After reconnecting, check the selected output before playing a pattern.
Troubleshooting
- No vibration: Keep BuruVibe on screen. Controller vibration is unavailable in the background or while the screen is locked.
- Not connected: Reconnect in your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Vibration unavailable: The controller is connected, but its vibration features are unavailable to the App.
If updating iOS and controller firmware doesn’t help, contact us with the controller model, iPhone model, OS and app versions.
Limitations
- Controller vibration is available only while BuruVibe is on screen.
- Output goes to either the iPhone or a controller, not both.
- Only one controller receives vibration even if several are connected. Selecting a specific controller is not supported.
- Strength and behavior vary with hardware, battery level, firmware, and iOS.
